What does it take to negotiate with presidents, spies, and terrorists when millions of lives are on the line? Brett McGurk, the American mediator who spent 15 months negotiating the release of the hostages taken on October 7, joins Rabbi Zuckerman to offer a behind-the-scenes look at a crisis that reshaped our world. Hear firsthand how – from the Oval Office to secret meetings across the Middle East – McGurk navigated impossible tradeoffs, faced down maximalist demands, and forged unlikely partnerships to secure a ceasefire and save lives.
